An Algiers, New Orleans native and Edna Karr graduate, Travis Thornton is a seasoned Construction Manager with 10+ years in construction projects ranging: residential, commercial, and civil. Boasting a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Mr. Thornton recognized passions for construction and engineering at Southern University A&M College, where he was a member of the National Society of Black Engineers. 

 

After graduation, Travis started his professional journey with Odebrech Construction as a Quality Control Manager. He then transition to a Project Manager with Fisher Sand and Gravel, where he acted as a private contractor for the Army Core of Engineers projects in Southeast Louisiana. After 4+ years with Sands, Travis accepted a position was Project Manager with the City of New Orleans. 

 

Travis’s hobbies are: fishing, small construction, working on cars and he is a Free Mason (John G. Lewis Masonic Lodge #261)
