Next Team Member Gerald Baptiste Jr. Founder & Visionary Mr. Baptiste founded Eagle Eye Resources (EER) in 2013, a New Orleans-based company that provides commercial and residential construction, historic preservation, facility maintenance, and custodial services. ​ A New Orleans native, Mr. Baptiste was a star football player in high school and college, sharpening his leadership skills and work ethic. Fresh out of college in 201, he immediately delved into entrepreneurship – knowing his plan was real estate – Mr. Baptiste started servicing facilities by providing custodial maintenance to commercial facilities in the New Orleans Metropolitan area funneled through his first business investment, a Jani-King franchise. ​ It was there that Mr. Baptiste recognized some business practices that can be recipes for disaster so, with a larger vision for a positive impact on the business world, he created a full-service real estate development organization. Mr. Baptiste grew that organization, EER, to a 7 figure grossing company in just 2 years, managing 35-45 employees. ​ He has headed 2 million dollars in residential development and 3 million in residential construction. These accomplishments are especially remarkable considering Mr. Baptiste is a self-taught businessman who is a disciplined reader/researcher. Drive, commitment, time management, competitiveness, and self-confidence are the attributes that made Mr. Baptiste a great athlete and have made him an even better businessman. ​ He is currently heading the development, management, and construction of 4 million dollars in commercial projects. Mr. Baptiste is especially interested in community development and revitalization and is committed to ensuring that EER is attuned to the community’s needs. He focuses on maintaining a great deal of historic character in the houses EER renovates and building in areas of the city that are deeply rooted in culture and history but needs rejuvenation. Two of the homes that EER has recently renovated have been featured in the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans for the dynamic restoration of the century + old homes. ​ Mr. Baptiste remains devoted to giving back and in his spare time, he mentors 8th Grade boys with the Silverback Society and is a motivational speaker and a coach. ​ Gerald's hobbies include: fishing, fitness, and traveling. Next Team Member Next Team Member Austin Martinez Project Manager + Estimator Austin Martinez, Assistant Project Manager, is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelors in Business Administration. Austin was a high school Algebra teach fro 2 years before joining the Eagle Eye team. He began his path into real estate as a whole seller, and found a passion for development of properties. Austin is combining his abilities to teach, manage budgets, and communication to the EER team. ​ Austin's hobbies include: architecture, collecting vinyl records, and traveling. Augustus III has a passion for digital marketing and growing communities. The New Orleans native founded C3 Marketing in 2020, after realizing his urge to assist businesses of all levels with the growth of their company. Charles is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, where he obtained his degree with honors in Marketing - Social Media & Advertising. Next Team Member Next Team Member Faysal Tay Chief Financial Officer Faysal Tay has over 22 years of experience in running different business in different industries. Prior to HST, he has worked at consulting and software companies as part of their executive and leadership teams. His focus has been on growth and creating lean businesses that are operating efficiently and optimizing their revenue potential and maintaining their growth plans. At HST Business Solutions, in collaboration with his partner, he provides leadership and direction to the team and company. He has spearheaded the company’s growth year over year, while maintaining the same level of exceptional service to their clients. Mr. Tay is driven by his passion to make a change and making an impact on the business community. He leverages his experience that he has gained throughout his career and applies it as required to advise clients and help them reach their goals. At HST, he has worked with many clients to help them create financial actionable plans for growth, and to accomplish efficiencies in their operation. Mr. Tay’s approach is whatever gets measured gets done, and his goal is to provide entrepreneurs with the missing information required to make an informed decision. Mr. Tay has resided in the New Orleans area since 2006. Prior to that he lived in Tallahassee FL where he went to Florida State University. Mr. Tay is married and has two children. His life outside work is focused on his family and he remains involved with the community through his children’s activities. He coaches his son’s Flag Football team, and basketball team. Next Team Member Next Team Member Carlyle Williams Construction Superintendent Carlyle Williams is a client-focused General Contractor who projects a high level of technical competence, authority, and enthusiasm in doing what he’s trained to do best. With an extensive background in construction trade, masonry, carpentry, and joinery, he is highly proficient in designing, managing, building, and overseeing residential and commercial projects. He brings along with him thirty years of exclusive experience to his esteemed clients. Professionally, his areas of expertise include building codes and regulations, cupboard construction, machinery operation, septic tank & soak-away construction, layout and management of building plumbing and electrical systems, roofing, and swimming pool construction. As someone with a strong work ethic and honesty, Carlyle constantly demonstrates persistence and resourcefulness in bidding and obtaining private and government contracts, as well as in interacting with architects and engineers for business opportunities. ​ He currently works as the Superintendent for Eagle Eye Resources, where he is responsible for Quality Control, LMA (Lead, Manage, Accountability), delivering finished products, safety & inspections, and regulatory compliance. Previously, he worked as the CEO of C.K.I.D Construction Limited and built an outstanding reputation for himself. Tapping from his educational background, he has obtained substantial training in Construction Technology from the John S. Donaldson Technical Institute in Trinidad and Tobago (1969 – 1977). ​ Carlyle is easy to get along with and makes clients’ satisfaction his major priority. His military and construction background has equipped him with the necessary experience to successfully manage construction trades and complex projects. In addition to leading crews, his responsibilities include communicating to project managers/supervisors, reading plans and specifications, and ensure quality and correct practices are enforced and practiced on the jobsite daily. Next Team Member Next Team Member Lawryn Bowman Executive Assistant Lawryn graduated from Helen Cox High School in 2008, where she was an active member of the ROTC. Ms. Bowman began working in the construction industry in 2009, where she gained valuable insight in both commercial and residential construction. Lawryn eventually took time to explore a different path where she as an Executive Assistant and facilitator for a bonding firm in the New Orleans Area.
